Caffi’s Cuba Sierra Maestra coffee has a smooth Caribbean-style taste. It is a soft and down to earth coffee with spicy cigar-like nuances. The coffee comes from the west of the Sierra Maestra Mountains near Pico Turquino, Cuba’s highest mountain.
Caffi’s roast is a dark medium roast, however, with its cigar-like characteristics, the coffee clearly falls into the group of dark roasts.
TASTE NOTES:
Cuba Sierra Maestra has a bold pipe tobacco and smoky, perhaps a slightly almond-sweet aftertaste. The mouthfeel is weighty and full-bodied.
RECOMMENDATION:
Sierra Maestra works great in both the filter coffee maker and the espresso machine. A good dessert coffee from which you can also extract pleasantly sweet espressos.
