In our Crema 100 % Robusta coffee you can taste a hint of smokiness, dark chocolate and cocoa as well as notes of marzipan and bitter almond. The coffee is a darker medium roast with a medium body, leaving a smooth and light aftertaste that is not too bold.
Arabica vs. Robusta
The two main types of coffee beans used are Arabica and Robusta. Arabica is more common, but the Robusta bean has a more intense, strong and pleasantly bitter taste and contains more caffeine. Therefore Robusta is often used in espresso blends for cappuccinos and caffe lattes. However, Robusta coffee works great as filter and drip coffee as well. Try different brewing methods and you’ll discover exciting new aromas present in Robusta coffee.
In this coffee we used washed Robusta Parchemt beans from India that are popular in Italian espresso coffees, and have taste notes of hazelnut and dark chocolate.
